Braxton Byerson scored 21 points while teammate
Branden McDonald added 15 to lead the Panthers to a 68-51 win over CIAA rival Lincoln University on January 31 in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Braxton hit seven of 13 shots from the field while McDonald was 8-of-10 from the free throw line in the win.
VUU's Josh Miller also scored 11 points and McDonals led the Panthers with seven rebounds.
Lincoln was led by Denzel Mooney's 16 points.
The win raised VUU's record to 9-6 overall and 7-3 in the CIAA while Lincoln fell to 2-14 overall and 1-8 in the CIAA.
VUU now faces Bowie State University on February 1 in Barco-Stevens Hall.
