Gregory Redford scored a season-high 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, but West Virginia Wesleyan College upset the Panthers 73-61 on the second day of the Doubletree Hotel Downtown Richmond Capital Area Classic on December 30 in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Redford's 21 points and 10 rebounds marked the senior's fourth double-double of the season.
VUU led 39-31 at halftime against West Virginia Wesleyan, but the Bobcats caught fire in the second half and pulled ahead midway through the second half.
The game marked a rare VUU loss in Barco-Stevens Hall. The 73-61 upset was only the sixth loss in the last 10 years at the historic basketball arena.

Wayne Ford also reached double-figures for the second time this season. Ford added 13 points in the game.
The loss evens Virginia Union's record at 3-3 on the season while West Virginia Wesleyan raised it's record to 5-3.
VUU is now off until the Panthers face Winston-Salem State University on January 8, 2011, in Barco-Stevens Hall.
