Without even playing a game, the Virginia Union University men's basketball team moved up two spots to #23 in the latest NABC/Division II Bulletin Rankings, released on December 14 by the NCAA.
VUU is 23rd in the nation while CIAA rival, Bowie State University, dropped to #20.
VUU is 2-0, with a 73-66 win over California (Pa.) on November 27 and a 66-46 rout of Virginia State University on December 4.
Bellarmine University holds down the top spot while Findlay (Ohio) is second.
VUU is slated to play in the Conoco Phillips USC-Aiken Pre-Holiday Classic on December 16 and 17. The Panthers play Mount Olive College on December 16 and then play fourth-ranked South Carolina-Aiken on December 17.
