Virginia Union University (16-3, 12-2 CIAA) was ranked #1 in the BTRC/BASN HBCU MEN'S HOOP POLLS earlier Thursday afternoon.
Coach Coker and the Panthers started the game with a 7-0 run against Johnson C. Smith University (15-7, 8-6 CIAA). The Panthers continued to dominate, outscoring Johnson C. Smith 70-58 and improving their winning streak to 14-games.
The Byersons brothers concluded the contest with 14 points, followed by forward Gregg Thondique with 13points
and six boards.
The Panthers next home game will be at the Siegel Center on VCU campus, Monday the 9th at 7:30pm against Virginia State University.
