Richmond, VA – After Fayetteville State defeated the Panthers in overtime earlier this season; the schedule has run its course for the rematch. Prior to the game in Barco-Stevens Gymnasium, administration held a dedication ceremony to name the newly painted court after the legendary Head Men's Basketball Coach Dave Robbins.
The Panthers had a 34-28 lead in the first half. Virginia Union (7-4 Overall, 4-1 CIAA) winning its first home game of the season.
Three Panthers scored in double figures. Braxton Byerson led all with 15 points along with his brother Brandon Byerson, who followed closely with 13 points. Gregg Thondique finished with 14 points.
The Panthers next contest is at Chowan University tip-off at 7:30pm.
