Five VUU players finish in double figures with a 79-67 win against Johnson C. Smith University Saturday night. This game was a rematch up from the 2008 CIAA semifinals when the Golden Bulls knock the Panthers out 61-58.

 

Brandon Byerson had 13 points, Braxton Byerson had team high of 22 points, Branden McDonald had 10 points, Gregg Thondique had 10 points as well as had team high with nine rebounds, and Lemoyne Williams had 15 points.

 

The Panthers are now 5-3 overall, 3-1 CIAA record.  

 

VUU will open up their 2009 home season against Fayetteville State University, January 6, 2009 at 7:30pm.
