Richmond, VA- Virginia Union University (12-3, 7-2 CIAA) increased their winning streak over Elizabeth City State University 80-71. It was a night dedicated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation sponsored by the Student-Athletic-Advisor Committee in Barco-Steven's gym.

Three out of five starters for Va. Union scored in double-points. Gregg Thondique led the team with 22 points going nine-of-seventeen from the field and four-for-seven at the foul line.

Other starters, Branden McDonald had 13 points while Braxton Byerson had 16 points and four rebounds.

The Panthers will travel to Shaw University on Tuesday, January 27th at 7:30 p.m.
