RICHMOND, VA- Just weeks before the start of the season, the VUU athletic administration has named Shawanda Geter the head coach of its women's bowling team. She is currently employed full-time in the VUU Athletic Department as the administrative assistant. Geter is a 2007 graduate of Virginia Union University, where she received her bachelor's degree in social work. The Augusta, GA native lettered in women's basketball and bowling during her undergraduate tenure at VUU. “ I am excited about this venture and think that it's great opportunity for me to give back to my alma mater” said Geter. For additional information, please contact the VUU Office of Sports Information at tbsykes@vuu.edu.
