HAMPTON, VA – VUU Defensive Back Niles Rainey (SR/5-10/165/College Park, GA) has been named CIAA Defensive Back of the Week, for the week ending on October 18, 2008.  Rainey sparked the Panthers' defensive efforts, recording 2 touchdowns en route a 68-6 victory over Lincoln University (Pa.).  Rainey's first touchdown was the result of a fumble recovery that he returned 39 yards with 11:05 remaining in the third quarter.  He scored again at the end of the third quarter, when he returned an interception 39 yards for his second touchdown.
