The Virginia Union University Women's track & field team traveled to Salisbury, N.C., to compete in the Blue Bear Invitational, hosted by Livingstone College on Saturday, March 29.
It was the second outdoor meet, and it showcased a good team performance!

Jade Lane led the way by winning the javelin throw with a personal best of 35.59m and also recorded a season best long jump of 5.29m, finishing 5th in that event.
    • Abijah Jepkemboi set a new school record in the 5,000m, clocking an impressive 20.14.
    • The ladies' 4x400m relay team comprising Jailyn Johnson, Toni MiddleBrooks,
Christal Rolack, and
Nykia Fort finished 5th with a season best time of 4:09.

Kayla Lee's performance reminded everyone of her talent, and Toni MiddleBrooks continues to challenge the school record in the 800m. We look forward to seeing what the next meet has in store for our talented team!"
VUU will now travel to Norfolk, Va., to compete in the Norfolk State University Invitational on April 4-5.
