Congratulations to Antonio Smith –Second Team All American

"I am pleased to share that Antonio Smith has earned Second Team All-American honors, marking a good achievement for Virginia Union University," said VUU Head Track & Field Coach Franck Charles.  "Antonio made history as the first true freshman from VUU to qualify for nationals. He entered the competition ranked 17th and finished 10th overall—an outstanding accomplishment for a freshman."

While he was understandably eager for an even stronger finish, his dedication and performance on the national stage speaks volumes about his potential. We are incredibly proud of his hard work and determination.

As we now transition into the outdoor season, our team will compete in its first meet this Friday at the University of Richmond. Antonio will take time to recover and prepare for our next competition at Livingstone College on March 29th.
