"It was great to see our athletes compete this past weekend after the winter break," said VUU Head Track & Field Coach Franck Charles. "This meet highlighted areas we need to improve on and, considering the adjustments we've made in practice due to the cold, I think they performed well. It's always exciting to watch them compete against Division I athletes. Congratulations to Zachary Jones for breaking the school indoor shot-put record and finishing in first place! A big shoutout to Antonio Smith for his outstanding performance, earning 2nd place overall. We're looking forward to our next meet, which will be in New York City at The Armory this Sunday. We'll leave this Friday to prepare for what we expect to be another great competition."
The Panthers will next compete on Saturday, January 18, at The Armory Track Invitational in New York, NY.
