"It always feels good to see our athletes excel," said VUU Head Track & Field Coach Franck Charles. "Seeing
Mychael Tucker win the 400 meter dash, Alpha dominating the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes, the ladies' 4x400 team breaking school records, and
Toni Middlebrooks setting a new record in the women's outdoor 400 meter dash was amazing. More than just the records, seeing the smiles on their faces makes me happy because this is what we're working for. At this moment, we need to continue working hard to involve our other athletes in the best way possible for a successful season."
The VUU Track & Field teams will now travel to Salisbury, N.C., to compete in the Blue Bear Invitational, hosted by Livingstone College on Saturday, March 30.
