Virginia Union University's
Tahj Harding scored 32 points as VUU downed Lincoln University of Pennsylvania 78-64 on Wednesday, February 7, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
It was the first division loss for the Lions, who lead the CIAA Northern Division with a 5-1 record.
Virginia Union now holds a half-game lead over Virginia State University for second place in the Northern Division of the CIAA. VUU is now 4-2 in divisional play while VSU is 3-2.

Jonathan King added 13 points while
Joshua Caine and
Kaylen Vines each had six rebounds.
"This was a very impressive win coming off losing to Lincoln less than a week ago by double digits to beating them by double digit," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach
Jay Butler. "We wanted to have a strong defensive performance tonight and the guys were locked in from start to finish. I thought Tahj had a great game tonight. He was very efficient scoring inside and out. He is making a strong case for Player of the Year honors. Our freshmen continue to play valuable minutes for us.
Malachi Dark and
Joshua Caine did a good job scoring around basket.
Travis Vaughn continues to get better each game being a floor leader for us."
Virginia Union wraps up the 2023-24 home season when it faces Bluefield State University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
