Virginia Union University's
Tahj Harding scored 26 points and went 10-for-10 from the free throw line, but Saint Augustine's University defeated the Panthers 63-57 on Thursday, January 4, in Raleigh, N.C.
VUU's
Jordan Gibson led the Panthers on the boards with eight rebounds.
"We continue to struggle with making free throws and taking care of the basketball in close games," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach
Jay Butler. "When you're on the road you must be disciplined and right now, we are not playing disciplined basketball.  We have to be more consistent for an entire 40-minute game."
Virginia Union will now face Shaw University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, in Raleigh, N.C.
