Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

VUU Goes to 3-0 with Win Over Clark Atlanta

Virginia Union University's Keleaf Tate scored a game-high 17 points while Raemaad Wright recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds as VUU raised it's record to 3-0 with a 79-61 win over Clark Atlanta University in the first round of the Chris Paul Classic in Uncasville, Conn.

VUU's Devon Sims scored a career-high 15 points while Charles Tart III added 11 points in the win.

Virginia Union's Robert Osborne scored 10 points in the win.

"I thought we got off to a slow start but picked it up defensively to finish the first half with the lead," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach Jay Butler.  "In the second half I thought we played well offensively and defensively. Keleaf Tate and Devon Sims really shot the basketball well.  Raemaad did a great job rebounding the basketball and Robbie Osborne continued to lead us in assists."

Virginia Union will now play Xavier University of Louisiana at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, in the championship game of the Chris Paul Classic in Uncasville, Conn.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN-U.
