Lady Panthers Down Bowie State 3-0

Virginia Union University's Essence Poteat had a team-high 12 kills to lead the Lady Panthers to a 25-20, 25-16, 25-18 win over host Bowie State University on Thursday, October 28, in Bowie, Md.
 
Poteat also had two service aces in the win.
 
VUU's Amilex Lopez-Ayala had three service aces while teammate Denise Burk had 19 assists.
 
Virginia Union's Maysun Creery and Alaysia Miller had 13 defensive digs apiece to lead the Lady Panthers on defense.
 
VUU now travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to face Lincoln University of Pennsylvania at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, before returning to Barco-Stevens Hall for the home finale of the 2021 season on Thursday, November 4.
