All-Academic Teams for the 2020 NCAA Division II Women's Track & Field season were announced on Thursday, July 16, by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Overall, there were 149 different programs honored for their academic excellence.
The Virginia Union women's track team captured their third straight honor, holding down a 3.56 GPA has a team. This is in tandem with also having received the CIAA Highest GPA Award for both indoor and outdoor track this year.
Exemplifying the true term scholar-athlete, sophomore
Daejah Majette, individual All-Academic honoree freshman
Jamara Watson, freshman
Tiana Lugg, freshman
Ashley White, and freshman Tamoya White all finished the year with career GPA's of 4.0. Senior
Chaunsa Saunders graduated in May with a 3.9 average, ranked 3rd in her class.
No program had a better cumulative GPA than the Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) women at 3.716. The full press release can be found at:Â
