Virginia Union University defeated Lincoln University of Pennsylvania 25-19, 25-6, 25-16, on Monday, October 28, as the Lady Panthers said good-bye to five seniors at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
 
VUU's Jamaica Adams, Akira Baker, Kamryn Young, A'rmaria Wright and Alayah Walker all played their last home game for the Lady Panthers.
 
"I am proud of my seniors for always showing up and defeating Lincoln to end their senior night," said VUU Head Volleyball Coach Renesha Johnson.
 
Young led the Lady Panthers with 10 kills while also collecting two blocks. 
 
Adams recorded four service aces while also leading the team with 17 defensive digs.
 
Wright led all players with 24 assists.
 
Newcomer Erin Highsmith led Virginia Union with three blocks.
 
Virginia Union now travels to Bowie, Md., to face Bowie State University on Tuesday, November 5.
