Box Score Virginia Union University's Jayshil Oatley led the Lady Panthers with 11 defensive digs and six kills, but Virginia State University defeated VUU 25-12, 25-20, 26-24 on Monday, September 25, in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Minne Masoe led the Lady Panthers with eight assists.

Virginia Union's A'rmaria Wright also had nine digs and seven assists in the match.

The loss dropped VUU's record to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in CIAA play.  Virginia State is now 3-10 overall and 3-2 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to take part in the second CIAA Round-Up, to be held September 30-Octover 1 at Lincoln (Pa.) University.
