Box Score Virginia Union University's Jayshil Oatley had 10 kills and two service aces as VUU defeated Bowie State University 25-20, 25-19, 25-20 on Monday, October 30, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's A'rmaria Wright had 17 assists while teammate Minne Masoe had 10 assists in the win.

Virginia Union's Akira Baker led the Lady Panthers with six defensive digs.

The win raised VUU's record to 13-9 overall and 7-7 in CIAA play.  The win also guaranteed the Lady Panthers of a winning season.  The win also means VUU will finish the regular season in third place in the Northern Division of the CIAA and capture a spot in the CIAA Championships, to be held November 17-19 at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va.

Bowie State fell to 4-22 overall and 1-14 in the CIAA.

The Lady Panthers now travel to Virginia Beach, Va., to face Regent University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2.
