Box Score Virginia Union University's Minne Masoe had 10 defensive digs, six assists and a service ace, but Chowan defeated the Lady Panthers 25-15, 25-15, 25-18 in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Sunday, October 22.

VUU's Ambryanna Moore led the Lady Panthers with five kills while teammate Mumbi Murugi-Kamau recorded three blocks.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 10-9 overall on the season and 5-7 in CIAA play.  Chowan is now 13-10 overall and 11-3 in the CIAA.

The Lady Panthers are currently third in the Northern Division of the CIAA.

VUU returns to action on Monday, October 23, when the Lady Panthers meet Lincoln (Pa.) University at 6:00 p.m. in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
