Box Score Virginia Union University's Jayshil Oatley had 19 defensive digs, but Virginia State University snapped VUU's four-game winning streak by defeating the Lady Panthers 25-15, 25-23, 20-25, 25-20 on Monday, October 16, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Ambryanna Moore had 12 kills while teammate Kodi Thacker had seven blocks in the match.

Virginia Union's A'rmaria Wright had three service aces to go with 16 assists in the match.

The loss dropped VUU to 9-8 overall and 5-6 in CIAA play.  Virginia State is now 7-13 overall and 7-4 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union returns to the Barco-Stevens Hall court when the Lady Panthers host Trinity Washington University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, in Richmond, Va.
