Box Score Virginia Union University's A'rmaria Wright had nine defensive digs while teammate Akira Baker had six digs, but Lees-McRae College defeated the Lady Panthers 25-19, 25-14, 25-18, on Saturday, September 24, in Banner Elk, N.C.

VUU's Arianna Bethel led the Lady Panthers with six kills while Ambryanna Moore added five kills in the match.

Virginia Union's Esha Atkins collected 11 assists in the match.

The loss snapped a three-match winning streak for the Lady Panthers, who are now 8-3.  Lees-McRae is now 5-7.

The Lady Panthers now return to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall to play host to CIAA arch-rival Virginia State University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26.
