Box Score Virginia Union University's women's volleyball team raised their record to 8-2 by sweeping Lincoln (Pa.) University 25-19, 25-13, 25-13, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall on Thursday, September 22, in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Akira Baker led the Lady Panthers with 16 defensive digs while Taylor White had 13 kills.

Virginia Union's Esha Atkins had 21 assists and seven service aces.

VUU's Arianna Bethel had 12 kills and Ambryanna Moore added 10 kills.  

Virginia Union's A'rmaria Wright also had 19 assists.

The win not only raised VUU's overall record to 8-2, but also raised the Lady Panthers' CIAA record to 3-1.  Lincoln fell to 3-8 overall and 1-3 in CIAA play.

The Lady Panthers now travel to Banner Elk, N.C., to face Lees-McRae College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24.
