Box Score Virginia Union University's Jayshil Oatley had 13 kills and 11 digs, but Chowan University defeated the Lady Panthers 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-18 on Friday, November 11, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

VUU's Jamaica Adams had 20 defensive digs while teammate Chelan Wongus had 16 digs.

Virginia Union's Arianna Bethel had 11 kills and A'rmaria Wright had 28 assists.

Wright also had 14 digs while VUU's Chelan Wongus had 16 digs.

The loss gave VUU a final regular season of 14-10 and a final CIAA regular-season record of 9-7.  Chowan finishes at 21-9 overall and 14-2 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union also finishes in third place of the Northern Division of the CIAA.  The Lady Panthers will begin play in the 2016 CIAA Volleyball Championship, beginning on Friday, November 18, at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va.
