Box Score Virginia Union University's Taylor White had 13 kills, but Virginia State University defeated the Lady Panthers 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16 on Monday, October 17, in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Jayshil Oatley and Jamaica Adams had 10 defensive digs apiece in the match.

Virginia Union's A'rmaria Wright also had 25 assists for the Lady Panthers.

The loss dropped VUU to 11-7 overall and 6-5 in CIAA play.  The loss also dropped the Lady Panthers to third place in the Northern Division of the CIAA.

Virginia State is now 13-6 overall and 9-6 in the CIAA.  The Lady Trojans moved into second place in the CIAA's Norther Division.

The Lady Panthers now return to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall to face the University of Virginia-Wise at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19.  The men's and women's basketball teams will also be unveiled at the conclusion of the volleyball match.
