Box Score PHOTO GALLERY | Virginia Union University's volleyball team honored Brittney Dobbins, the lone senior on the squad, as the Lady Panthers met Chowan University on Friday, November 13, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Unfortunately, Chowan defeated the Lady Panthers 25-19, 29-27, 25-17.

VUU's Fernanda Faustino had 11 kills and 12 defensive digs while teammate Natalia Gascot had 16 digs.

Virginia Union's Esha Atkins had 26 assists and 10 digs in the match.

The loss gave VUU a final regular-season record of 11-13 overall and 9-6 in the CIAA.  The Lady Panthers captured third place in the Northern Division of the CIAA and will face Shaw University in the opening round of the CIAA Volleyball Tournament at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, in Fayetteville, N.C.

Chowan is 17-7 overall and 14-2 in the CIAA.
