Box Score Virginia Union University's Fernanda Faustino had 12 kills and 15 defensive digs, but Chowan University defeated the Lady Panthers 25-16, 25-10, 22-25, 25-14 on Sunday, October 25, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

VUU's Esha Atkins had 31 assists and 10 defensive digs in the match.

Virginia Union's Natalia Gascot also had 12 digs in the match.

The loss drops VUU to 7-9 overall and 5-4 in CIAA play.  Chowan is now 14-5 overall and 11-0 in the CIAA.

Virginia now returns home to face Lincoln (Pa.) University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, in Barco-Stevens Hall.
