Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Virginia Union University's Fernanda Faustino had 23 kills, but Southern Virginia University defeated the Lady Panthers 20-25, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25 in the second game of the Bridgewater College Tri-Match on Saturday, October 10, in Bridgewater, Va.

Faustino's 23 kills were the most by a Lady Panther in a four-game match since Kristin Madison had 23 kills against Elizabeth City State University on November 3, 2014.  The VUU record for kills in a four-game match is 28, set by Michaela Vanakova in 2004.

VUU's Ambryanna Moore had 10 kills in the match while Esha Atkins had 46 assists.

In the first match of the day, Bridgewater College defeated VUU 25-18, 25-14, 25-10 in a match where Atkins had 13 assists.

VUU's record is now 6-7 overall.  The Lady Panthers now travel to Bowie, Md., to meet Bowie State University on Monday, October 12.
