Box Score Virginia Union University's Kristin Madison had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 defensive digs, but Virginia State University defeated the Lady Panthers 25-13, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19 in volleyball on Monday, October 13, in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Esha Atkins had 22 assists in the match while teammate Ellie Parsons led the Lady Panthers with 13 digs.

Virginia Union's Taylor Witherspoon also had 12 digs in the match.

The loss drops VUU to 8-10 overall and 7-4 in the CIAA.  Virginia State is now 11-4 overall and 9-3 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now returns home to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall where the Lady Panthers will meet the University of Virginia-Wise at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14.
