Box Score Virginia Union University's Allorie Sanders had 12 assists and six defensive digs, but Elizabeth City State University defeated the Lady Panthers 25-22, 25-15, 25-11, on Monday, September 24, in Elizabeth City, N.C.

VUU's Shakia Mackey also had six digs in the match.

Sanders and teammate Kristin Madison had five kills apiece to lead VUU in that department while Madison also had three service aces.

The loss drops VUU to 1-17 on the season and 1-5 in the CIAA.  Elizabeth City State is now 7-5 overall and 6-1 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now travels to Winston-Salem, N.C., to compete in the CIAA Round-Up II, to be held September 29-30 at Winston-Salem State University.
