Box Score Virginia Union University's Kristin Madison had 12 kills as the Lady Panthers downed Lincoln University 26-24, 25-20, 25-17 on Thursday, September 20, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Madison had only one error in 20 total attacks.

The win was the first for the Lady Panthers this season.

VUU's Allorie Sanders had 28 assists while teammate Ellie Parsons had 15 defensive digs and three service aces.

The win raised VUU's record to 1-12 overall and 1-4 in CIAA play.  Lincoln fell to 0-7 overall and 0-7 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now travels to Wheeling, W.Va., to compete in the Wheeling Jesuit University Volleyball Invitational.  The Lady Panthers will face Glenville State College at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, and then Alderson-Broaddus College at 6:00 p.m.
