Box Score Virginia Union University's Ellie Parsons had 17 defensive digs, but Virginia State University downed VUU 25-20, 25-9, 25-12 on Monday, October 8, in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Kristin Madison had seven kills while teammate Demi Schrader had seven assists in the match.

The loss dropped VUU to 3-19 overall and 3-7 in the CIAA.  Virginia State is now 9-8 overall and 8-2 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union returns home to Barco-Stevens Hall to face the Hawks of Chowan University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, in Richmond, Va.
