Box Score Virginia Union University's Renesha Chiles had 11 kills while Ellie Parsons had 15 defensive digs to lead the Lady Panthers to a 25-20, 25-19, 28-26 win over Bowie State University on Thursday, October 4, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall.

The win was the second straight for the Lady Panthers, who donned pink uniforms to help raise awareness of breast cancer.  The Lady Panthers will be collecting money all through the month of October to donate to "Dig Pink" breast cancer awareness campaign.

VUU's Allorie Sanders had 23 assists while Kristin Madison and Kristal Woodard had three service aces apiece.

The win raised VUU's record to 3-18 overall and 3-7 in CIAA play.  Bowie State fell to 3-16 overall and 1-9 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8.
