Virginia Union University's Brittany Abraham became the first member of the women's track & field team to become a National Provisional Qualifier when she placed fourth in the women's long jump at the Dick Taylor Invitational, held on March 13 & 14 at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Abraham placed fourth in the event with a leap of 18 feet (7.25 meters).

VUU's Brinae Robinson was 13th in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:28.17.

The women's 4,000-meter distance relay team of Savana Gillard, S'Kaylah Woods, Robinson and Tamara Gillard placed 11th with a time of 14:04.4.
