Virginia Union University's Ellie Parsons had 14 defensive digs as the Lady Panthers defeated Bowie State University in volleyball 25-12, 25-19, 25-11, on Sunday, October 9, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Demi Schrader had 26 assists while teammate Victoria Parks had 12 kills on 18 total attacks.

Parks also had four blocks, one solo and three block assists.

The win raised VUU's record to 6-15 overall and 6-6 in the CIAA.  Bowie State fell to 7-16 overall and 2-10 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Washington, D.C., to face the University of the District of Columbia on October 13.
