Virginia Union University's
Hakeem Fields finished seventh overall as the VUU Men's Cross-Country team finished third at the 2011 Trojan Invite, held on October 7 on the campus of Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va.
Fields completed the 8,000-kilometer course in a time of 30:53.
Virginia State won the event with a team score of 25, while Southern Virginia University was second with 34 points. VUU finished third with 65 points.

Andrew Njoku placed 13th with a time of 33:25 while Virginia Union's
Wesley Arthur was 15th with a time of 34:29.
Virginia Union's
Deion Dickens was 16th with a time of 34:36 while
Marcus Dean placed 21st with a time of 36:26.
VUU's Tremaine Banks was 24th with a time of 40:10.
Virginia Union now returns home to compete in the Panther Classic, to be held at 3:30 p.m. on October 12 in Bryant Park in Richmond, Va.
