Virginia Union University's Aisha Berkley had 11 kills while teammate Kristal Woodard had 10 kills, but VUU fell to Chowan University 25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 25-19 on October 4 in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Demi Schrader had 30 assists in the match while Woodard collected 10 defensive digs.

VUU's Renesha Chiles had five service aces in the match, the most for a Lady Panther in a single match since Brittanee Adams had nine aces against Johnson C. Smith on September 3, 2010.

The loss drops Virginia Union to 4-15 overall and 4-6 in CIAA play.  Chowan is now 17-3 overall and 11-0 in the CIAA.

VUU now meets Lincoln University at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
