Virginia Union University's Aisha Berkley had 10 kills and eight defensive digs to lead the Lady Panthers to a 14-25, 25-21, 9-25, 25-19, 15-10 win over Glenville State College in Millersville, Pa., on October 29.

The games were the regular-season finale for the Lady Panthers.

VUU's Kristin Madison also had 10 kills in the win while teammate Demi Schrader had 34 assists.

VUU's Ellie Parsons had 11 digs.

Later in the day Millersville University beat VUU 25-23, 25-9, 25-16.

Berkley led the Lady Panthers in that match with eight kills while Schrader had 17 assists.

The split gives VUU a final regular-season record of 10-21.  The 10 wins are the most for a VUU volleyball program since the 2006 team finished with a 17-9.

Virginia Union has qualified for the CIAA Volleyball Tournament, which will be held November 4-6 at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, Va.

VUU has placed third in the CIAA Northern Division, and will face the second-place team of the Southern Division at 9:00 a.m. on November 4.  The Lady Panthers then play the Northern Division's first-place team at 3:00 p.m. and then play the fourth-place team of the Southern Division at 5:00 p.m.
