Virginia Union University's Ellie Parsons had 15 digs, but Elizabeth City State University came away with a 25-16, 25-23, 25-15 win over VUU on October 18 in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Aisha Berkley had 11 kills on 34 total attacks while teammate Demi Schrader had 19 assists.

Berkley also had 10 digs in the match.

The loss drops VUU to 7-17 overall and 7-6 in CIAA play.  Elizabeth City State is now 13-10 overall and 11-3 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Mount Olive, N.C. to compete in the Mount Olive College Classic.  The Lady Panthers will play Belmont-Abbey College on October 21, Mount Olive College and Shaw University on October 22.
