Virginia Union University's Kristal Woodard collected eight defensive digs, but the University of the District of Columbia defeated the Lady Panthers 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 on October 13 in Washington, D.C.

VUU's Demi Schrader had 19 assists while teammate Aisha Berkley had eight kills and five digs in the match.

Virginia Union's Kristin Madison also had five kills in the match.

The loss drops VUU to 6-16 on the season while UDC raised its record to 9-14.

Virginia Union now travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University on Friday, October 14, at 6:00 p.m.
