Virginia Union University's setter, Jessica Thompson, collected 17 assists during the two-day CIAA Round-Up II on September 18-19 in Fayetteville, N.C., but the Lady Panthers were stopped by identical 3-0 scores on both days.

On the first day, host Fayetteville State University downed VUU 25-13, 25-14, 25-21 despite Aisha Berkley's five kills and eightdigs and Thompson's 10 assists.

On the second day, Saint Augustine's College stopped the Lady Panthers 25-12, 25-18, 25-7 while VUU's Berkley again had five kills, Lashira Williams had seven digs and Thompson had seven assists.

The losses dropped VUU to 3-10 on the season.

The Lady Panthers meet Saint Paul's College on September 23 at 6:00 p.m.
