Virginia Union University's Lashira Williams had four kills while Brittanee Thompson collected six assists, but the University of the District of Columbia downed the Lady Panthers 25-14, 25-14, 25-12 on September 2 in Washington, D.C.

 

The match was the season opener for both teams.

 

Williams also had six digs in the match.

 

UDC was led by Karen Trevino and Vanessa Garley, who had 14 kills apiece.

 

VUU now travels to Queens University Graphix B Invitational on September 3 and 4.
