Virginia Union University's Lashira Williams had 12 kills and Brittanee Adams had 18 assists, but Virginia Union fell to Virginia State University 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-13 on September 16 in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Kierris Doyle had 15 digs and Aisha Berkley had 16 digs while Jessica Thompson added 10 assists.

The loss dropped VUU to 3-8 overall and 2-4 in the CIAA.

VUU now travels to Fayetteville, N.C., to take part in the second CIAA Round-Up Weekend where the Lady Panthers will face Fayetteville State University on September 18 and Saint Augustine's College on September 19.
