Coach Reggie Montalvo was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he began his volleyball career at age 12. Coach Montalvo moved to Florida back in 2008 where he played for Longwood Volleyball Club. In 2010, he was awarded an All-American award at the AAU Boys’ Junior National Volleyball Championship. He also represented Florida as an elite player for the USA High Performance Championships in 2009, 2010, and 2011, where he got to experience playing against international teams as well as teams from other USA regions.
 
In 2011, Coach Montalvo began his collegiate career at Warner University. He played there for four years where he received Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. He was selected as Libero of the week for various weeks during his college career as well. Coach Montalvo was team captain from 2012 to 2015. In 2011, Coach Montalvo participated as an assistant coach at Marion County Juniors Volleyball Club in Ocala, FL.
 
In 2015, he coached at 352 Elite and worked as a volunteer assistant at the College of Central Florida.
Currently, Coach Montalvo continues to play volleyball recreationally at Richmond Volleyball Club. He also plays beach volleyball where he was won multiple tournaments. Volleyball has been an inspiration for him and instilled him with passionate leadership  skills.Â
