Dan Franckhauser is entering his first year at Virginia Union University as of June 2026. He oversees all sports strength & conditioning as the head strength & conditioning coordinator.
Franckhauser most recently served as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Wagner College, where he worked with a wide range of athletes and teams. While with the Seahawks, he led sport-specific performance plans for men’s basketball, women’s soccer, baseball, cheer, field hockey, and other Olympic sports. Franckhauser was part of the Seahawks' NCAA Tournament run in 2024 as Wagner won their First Four contest and 2nd NEC Championship in program history.
Before his tenure at Wagner, Franckhauser was at North Dakota State University, where he spent the 2021 season as a strength & conditioning coach with football. During his time with the Bison, he assisted with weight room training, conditioning, and return to play. Finishing with a National Championship. He also spent the summer of 2021 in Harrisonburg, VA, with the JMU Dukes football program, assisting with the summer training program.
Franckhauser spent the prior school year at Robert Morris University, where he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach with Colonials' football, men's/women's ice hockey, track & field, rowing, and men's soccer.
During his years of school he gained a lot of experience in athletic training, working with a variety of sports and being an intern athletic trainer with the Columbus Crew, a member of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Franckhauser received his Bachelor's in Athletic Training from Capital University (2020) and MBA in Business Management at Wagner College (2023). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
