"This season has not started the way we envisioned, and our performance has not reflected the standard we expect from ourselves," said VUU Head Volleyball Coach Anetra Sims. "However, adversity is part of the journey. We have work to do—individually and collectively—to build consistency, confidence, and trust within this team. We will continue to hold each other accountable, stay committed to the process, and keep working until we find our rhythm. The season is not defined by where we are today, but by how we respond, grow, and finish."
Virginia Union will now travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to compete in the first CIAA Volleyball Roundup. The Lady Panthers will face Claflin University and Bluefield State University on Friday, October 2, Livingstone College and Johnson C. Smith University on Saturday, October 3, and Fayetteville State University and Winston-Salem State University on Sunday, October 4.
