"We were so proud of the gritty, tough win on the road versus a very fundamentally sound Adelphi team," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "Our freshman,
Maia Charles, had a huge showing in front of her home crowd with 18 points and clutch free throws to seal the game.
Taniyah Greene had a solid 16 points, 9 rebounds ,
Rori Cox snatched 10 rebounds,
Kennedee Matthews had 3 assists, and
Tatiana Jones had 6 rebounds. We did not have our best offensive showing but our defensive effort put us over the top. This was a great team win, we will celebrate, recoup, and get ready for WSSU Thursday."
