Virginia Union University's Ny Langley scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds, but Saint Augustine's University defeated the Lady Panthers in overtime 58-53 on Thursday, January 4, in Raleigh, N.C.

VUU's  Brittini Martin also scored 13 points in the game.

"We fought to get ourselves in overtime with a tough Saint Augustine's team, but we just could not finish the game down the stretch," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.   "We have some things that we need to drastically improve upon moving forward. We need to get back to team basketball and playing 40 minutes with passion."

VUU will now face Shaw University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, in Raleigh, N.C.
